Aéko Ongodia, CFA is the Founder and CEO of XENO, a goal-based investment platform transforming how Africans save and invest for the future. With over 16 years of experience in financial markets and investment management, Aéko is on a mission to make professional fund management accessible to everyone—regardless of income or internet access.

Before founding XENO, Aéko managed a $1.3 billion fixed-income portfolio at Uganda’s National Social Security Fund, and previously led stress testing and risk modelling at the Bank of Uganda. His career began at Stanbic Bank Uganda as a research analyst, where he developed deep insights into African financial markets.

Aéko holds a Master’s in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass Business School (UK), an MS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University (USA), and a Bachelor’s in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University (Uganda). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism, where he contributes to global conversations on equitable finance.

Under his leadership, XENO has raised $2 million in seed funding and serves clients through web, mobile app, and USSD—bridging the digital divide in financial inclusion. Aéko also co-leads Rexial, a platform focused on democratising institutional-grade finance tools for African users.

Based in Brooklyn and Kampala, Aéko blends global expertise with a deep commitment to Africa’s economic empowerment.
