Alex WekoyeSpeaker

Alex Wekoye is a seasoned commercial leader with over a decade of experience driving growth and innovation across the telecom, fintech, and agro-processing sectors. He currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at MTN Mobile Money Uganda, where he leads the commercial strategy, including sales, marketing, customer experience, and distribution, for the country’s leading mobile financial services provider.

Before joining MTN MoMo, Alex was Chief Commercial Officer at Digitel South Sudan, where he played a key role in launching and expanding the telecom’s footprint in a challenging market. He also held senior roles at EzyAgric, Uganda Breweries, and Mukwano Industries, where he helped shape product marketing and value chain strategies.

Alex is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is widely recognized for his passion for digital inclusion and empowering SMEs through fintech solutions. His work continues to make a significant impact on Uganda’s digital economy.
