Bertrand HertzogSpeaker

Bertrand Hertzog is Commercial Director for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), where he leads implementation of key commercial agreements—including shareholder relations, tariff‑transmission arrangements, and interface with shippers and upstream partners—to drive one of Africa’s largest infrastructure projects to fruition. In this capacity, he also serves as EACOP’s Compliance Officer and custodian of the project’s Code of Conduct, ensuring robust commercial operations and ethical governance across Uganda and Tanzania.

In addition to his pipeline responsibilities, Bertrand was recently elected President of the French Chamber of Commerce Uganda, where he champions Franco‑Ugandan business partnerships and promotes trade, investment, and innovation between France and Uganda. He has spoken at major industry forums—such as the 2025 Francophone Job Fair—on topics ranging from skills development to private‑sector collaboration, underscoring his commitment to economic growth and capacity‑building in Uganda’s digital and industrial sectors
