Happiness Daher-Ebhohon is an accomplished business leader and strategic connector with a unique background in engineering and international trade. She currently serves as the General Manager of the French Chamber of Commerce Uganda (FCCU), where she spearheads initiatives that strengthen economic ties between France and Uganda, foster investment, and promote sustainable growth across sectors.
With a foundation in marine engineering from École Centrale de Marseille, Happiness began her career in the offshore oil and gas sector, specializing in subsea sales and tendering at Bourbon. Her technical expertise, combined with her talent for cross-cultural business development, positioned her to transition into a leadership role at the intersection of trade, innovation, and diplomacy.
Since taking the helm at FCCU, she has led the chamber’s establishment in Uganda, built a growing network of member companies, and curated high-impact events that spotlight opportunities in agribusiness, energy, infrastructure, and finance. Her efforts align with the broader mission of expanding French Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in East Africa—estimated at over $1.6 billion in 2023—with bold ambitions for continued growth.
Happiness is a passionate advocate for collaboration between public and private sectors and frequently represents FCCU in international summits and forums. She has participated in platforms such as the All Africa IP Summit in Kigali and co-hosted strategic webinars with institutions like CCI France International.
Based in Kampala, she is fluent in the languages of both industry and diplomacy—bringing people, policy, and purpose together to unlock meaningful progress.
