Mark Mutaahi is an investment strategist and operational leader with a track record of scaling high-impact businesses across emerging markets. He is the Managing Partner at BiD Capital Partners, where he leads investment strategy and transaction advisory services for early-stage enterprises driving both social and financial returns in East Africa.
Mark brings over a decade of experience across finance, clean energy, and franchising. He previously served as CEO of a multi-national carbon finance enterprise focused on clean energy distribution, and led the Uganda operations of a global social enterprise scaling franchise models in underserved markets. Before returning to East Africa, Mark built a solid foundation in Canada’s financial sector, with leadership roles in wealth management and financial operations.
He holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Alberta, and is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Financing.
