Micheal NiyitegekaSpeaker

Michael Niyitegeka is the Executive Director of Refactory Limited and serves as the ICDL Africa Country Manager for Uganda. With over 21 years of experience spanning the public and private sectors, Michael is a seasoned expert in Leadership Development, Business Technology Strategy, and Advisory Services. He holds an MBA from MsM/ESAMI Business School and is a Franklin Covey Certified Facilitator.

Throughout his career, Michael has worked with institutions such as Makerere University, where he served in roles including researcher, trainer, and Head of Corporate Relations. His experience also includes managing supply operations for a coffee exporting firm and consulting for various government, private sector, and international organizations. He has served on the ICT Technical Working Group of the Presidential Investor Round Table and advised the Government of Uganda on 4IR technologies. A committed Rotarian and mentor, Michael plays an active role in technology innovation review panels and is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of tech business leaders.
