Mohamed Souleymane is the Regional Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) and Treasurer for Ecobank’s East African Countries, based in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, he directs all treasury activities—including liquidity management, capital markets transactions, and risk mitigation—across Ecobank subsidiaries in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. He began his banking career in the Republic of Benin with Diamond Bank, then moved to United Bank for Africa before joining Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, demonstrating deep expertise in corporate, retail and treasury banking functions. A Harvard Business School alumnus who recently completed McKinsey & Company’s Black Executive Leadership Program, Mohamed combines strategic finance acumen with a commitment to professional development and regional integration.
