Shirley Gladys NakyejweSpeaker

Shirley Gladys Nakyejwe is a Senior IT Officer and Intellectual Property Specialist at Uganda’s Ministry of ICT and National Guidance. With over a decade of experience, she plays a pivotal role in shaping national innovation and IP policy, including leading the development of Uganda’s ICT Intellectual Property Guidelines and contributing to the Business Process Outsourcing Policy. Shirley has trained over 2,000 innovators across the country in IP protection and commercialisation. She holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property and ICT Management, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, blending deep technical expertise with policy leadership to advance Uganda’s digital innovation ecosystem.
