French Week 2025 Tees Off in Style with Golf Tournament at Uganda Golf Club
The inaugural French Week began with a vibrant golf tournament, bringing business leaders together for a day of sport, networking, and celebration.
Kampala, May 11, 2025—French Week 2025 officially teed off with a spirited Golf Tournament held at the prestigious Uganda Golf Club. The event brought together business leaders, diplomats, and professionals for a day of sport, networking, and celebration under changing skies, setting the stage for a memorable tournament.
The highlight of the day? A daring attempt by players to win a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, generously offered as the grand prize by CFAO Mobility—achievable only with the coveted hole-in-one. Many players joked they were tired of their old cars and swung with hope and determination to distance themselves from their trusty (but well-worn) rides, each shot a step closer to a fresh set of wheels. While the grand prize remained just out of reach, the challenge created electric energy across the course. As one participant put it, “It was so close, yet so far!”
The event was made possible thanks to the incredible support of our headline sponsors: Ecobank Uganda and MTN MoMo Uganda, whose contributions elevated the entire tournament experience. Ecobank not only sponsored the tournament but also fielded a strong team that brought their A-game to the fairway.

Dickson Kateshumbwa joined in presenting prizes to the top-performing players. From tee-off to trophies, the tournament was a true celebration of community, connection, and camaraderie.
